Transforming the digital presence of a board director
35+ years in banking and technology. From a name and a slogan to a clear, board-level presence.

The challenge
Frank Schwab sits on the board of Gulf International Bank and the supervisory board of Addiko Bank. He was CEO of Fidor, ran the German savings banks’ payment venture, and spent 21 years at Deutsche Bank. He has written two books and given more than 200 presentations in over 20 countries.
Someone who looked him up before a meeting found:
- Nothing that said clearly what he does or who he does it for.
- No separate way in for an investor, a bank CEO or an event organizer.
- No way to do business with him: no contact link and no form on the homepage.
- A page that ran off the screen on a phone.
The person with the strongest record in the room was the hardest to find out about online.
What you see
On the surfacePositioning that fits in one line
Strategy before design. Every build starts with a business solution session. With Frank, we worked out who he serves, what he solves for each of them, and what their next step should be. Then one line a board member, an investor or an event organizer understands in five seconds:
His original line wasn’t lost. It moved from the headline to a signature statement further down the page.
An offer that’s easy to buy
Each audience gets its own path, and each path is packaged: a clear set of services, the proof behind them, and one button. For investors and boards:
Technology leaders get their own four, startups an angel-investing path, and event organizers a speaking page.

Easy to do business with
Before, the homepage had no contact link and no form. Now every path ends in an enquiry that arrives already labelled, so Frank knows what it’s about before he opens it:
A newsletter signup keeps the people who aren’t ready yet.
Built for every screen
Most people look someone up on a phone, often minutes before a meeting. The new site is designed for every screen, not shrunk to fit one.

Before, on a phoneThe old homepage ran off the right edge of the screen: his name, his slogan and the book were all cut off.
Under the hood
What Google and AI seeVisitors see the design. Search engines and AI assistants read what’s underneath. When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity about Frank, this is what they find. Every snippet below is taken from his live site.
A search result that sells
The title and description Google shows are written as positioning, not a list of job titles.
A briefing written for AI assistants
A plain summary of who he is, what he does, his writing and how to reach him, in the format AI tools look for.

Google knows who he is
Structured data names him as a person, with his role, his expertise and his other profiles. The old homepage had none.

Clean, fast and accessible
Google’s own Lighthouse test scores the new homepage 100 across the board.
- One clear page heading, 10 structured sections (the old homepage had no main heading)
- Canonical address and sitemap, so search engines index the right page
- 16 essays on his own domain, readable by search and AI
- Hosted on his domain, and he owns the code
